About
Ardoch National Wildlife Refuge is a limited-interest refuge established in the 1930s and 1940s to protect habitat for migrating waterfowl and other birds. Unlike many other refuges, the land is not federally owned but remains in private or state ownership under easements. Access is controlled by the private landowners or other entities, not the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
