About
The Columbia River Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office is part of a national network working to conserve fish and aquatic resources throughout the United States. Originally established in 1973 as the Vancouver Fishery Assistance Office, the station provides technical assistance to Tribes and conducts scientific studies to solve fishery problems. Their mission involves determining the status of imperiled stocks, such as bull trout and Pacific lamprey, and evaluating management measures to assist in their recovery and prevent future listings.
