Nestled within a matrix of developed land, the Concord unit offers a place to step into nature. 2 large impoundments support a variety of aquatic organisms as well as ducks, geese, and shorebirds that migrate through at different times of year. Keep an eye out for songbirds, raptors, and owls too- this location is a known birding hotspot. Walk along the Dike Trail between the 2 impoundments to reach the shores of the Concord River.
