About
The Mid-Columbia Fish & Wildlife Conservation Office (MCFWCO) provides technical fisheries assistance and cooperates with other Service programs to manage aquatic species in the mid- and upper-Columbia River Basin. Established in 1974, it now evaluates hatchery production programs and monitors native fish populations such as bull trout and Pacific lamprey. As part of the Leavenworth Fisheries Complex, it provides technical support and promotes interagency coordination for the long-term benefit of fish and their habitats.
