Get Involved
A fundamental tenet in our approach to conservation is engagement with our community – from private landowners wanting to improve endangered species habitat on their land to non-profits doing on-the-ground work.
Services
We offer a variety of services to support plant, fish, and wildlife conservation - especially federal threatened or endangered species. Different services are tailored to different groups and situations, so if you want to proactively support imperiled species conservation on your property or if you wonder how federally-protected plants and animals may factor into your situation, explore the services we offer.
About
The Arcata Fish and Wildlife Office was established in 1977. Office staff includes fisheries and wildlife biologists, technicians, and support personnel who perform conservation activities across Northwest California. Their diverse workload includes field research, monitoring, regulatory advisory roles, and habitat conservation planning on nonfederal lands.
