About
The Green River Basin Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office supports a coalition focused on recovering endangered fish while providing for water development in the Colorado River Basin. Its mission centers on recovering four specific species: the Colorado pikeminnow, humpback chub, bonytail, and razorback sucker. Established in 1979 as the Colorado River Fishery Project, the office was renamed in 2016 to align with naming conventions of other field offices. It operates as part of the Utah Fish & Aquatic Conservation Complex based in Vernal, Utah.
