Services
The Bay-Delta office provides a range of services including Section 7 ESA consultations for federal agencies, water resource planning in partnership with government and non-government organizations, and the development of Habitat Conservation Plans. They also lead recovery planning for imperiled species, conduct spill response and natural resource damage assessments, and manage conservation banks to facilitate off-site mitigation for project impacts.
About
Established in 2009, the San Francisco Bay-Delta office serves as a public partner supporting the conservation of wildlife, plants and their habitats in the Bay Area and Central Valley of California. Scientists work to protect a wide range of at-risk species including fish, flowers, butterflies, and mammals by conducting research and restoring habitats. The office collaborates with community members and stakeholders to ensure sustainable populations thrive while balancing growth with conservation.
