Pond Creek NWR Public Use Regulations
Refuge Access Permits are required for all refuge users. When signed and in your possession, the cover section of the Public Use Brochure serves as your permit for all refuge hunts and other permissible activities. While visiting the Refuge, Public Use Regulation Brochures may be obtained from various boxes located near the entrance of refuge access roads.

Pond Creek National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1994 as Cossatot NWR and renamed in 1997 to reflect the local name "Pond Creek Bottoms." The refuge protects 27,300 acres of bottomland hardwood forest acquired through donations and the Omnibus Parks and Public Lands Management Act of 1996. Its mission is to conserve wetlands for migratory birds while providing compatible wildlife-related public uses such as hunting and fishing.
